Start of a New Year 1/1/24

This is my first blog post of new year, marking the beginning of another journey. It is crazy how quickly time passes now as I get older, it feels like yesterday it was still summer of 2023. That is actually one of my biggest worries- how fast my life has been going by. It feels like my life is flashing before my eyes and I am not truly experiencing it day by day. Maybe soon it will all start to slow down and I will be able to fully grasp the last of my childhood.

I am starting the process again of applying to summer programs and this year, decided to apply to a course closer to home. I will be applying to UC Cosmos on the UCLA campus and the UCSB Summer Research Academies. These are two highly competitive programs so hopefully I get into one of them. With these programs, I will hope to dig deeper into the biology aspect of Global Health and work to research on topics I would like to make a difference in.

My main goal for this year is to keep growing in all areas of my life and work towards figuring out who I am as a person. If I can learn that, I believe my life will become much easier.
