I have one month left before my junior year starts, and it leaves me with a bittersweet taste in my mouth. On one hand, I am excited for school to start up again but on the other hand, I know this year will be a rough one academically wise.
Last weekend, I took my first ACT and overall, I feel I did good. The only part I am scared about was the reading section, which I am disappointed at because during my practice, I tend to score high in that area. I schedule my next one in September so before then, I will be continuing to study and aiming for that 35-36.
Another thing that is happening is my YCS Summer of Service coming to an end this week. Overall, I feel I learned many valuable lessons I can use for the future and racked up a solid amount of service hours. Hopefully by the time my corps starts up again, I can manage to get a bronze PVSA award.
Finally, I have my interview next week with the PAAC so maybe by the next blog, I will be able to tell you if I get the position. I am positive I can make an impact with this leadership position and hopefully, the council can see that too.
