Future Plans 2/15/24

The basketball season has came to an end and we finished it off with winning the league title. I am finally able to take a break from basketball and focus solely on school. I just took a practice SAT last weekend, so one of my goals now is to start studying and understanding what I need to do to succeed. Another thing I have been working on is applying to another summer program. My second one of choice is UC Santa Barbara’s Summer Research Academies. This is another month long program and there, I plan on taking the Global Health track.

For the national history bee club I help run, money is necessary for the team to compete at the events. Funding is one of things that our club struggles with so an idea I came up with was a fundraiser. We got the money for our first tournament, but if we continue to move on, we will need more money. This is most likely where I will help manage and come up with a way for us to raise money.

This summer, I was thinking of maybe trying to intern at a local organization near me. This would give me a good opportunity to grow and understand what its like in a work like environment. I was thinking of finding some non-profit organizations or other places similar to that to work with during that time. Looking ahead, my summer plans will hopefully be full with different activities for me to fill up my time with.
