Recently, I have mostly been focused on school and continuing to plan out my summer. I ended up getting accepted into the Duke Engineering Solutions for Global Health program so that is something I am excited for. I also applied for a summer job with Kodely, an organization that focuses on students gaining leadership experience teaching kids K – 8 coding.
I have been researching major options that I may want to pursue in the future and one in particular I have been looking at is data science. Data science is the study of understanding and making an assumption on a set of important information. With this, you can benefit society and hopefully prevent things like addiction and poverty.
We have done some sort of data science in AP CSP, and I enjoyed using the data to make future predictions. I think this major would be a good fit for me because you are able to do some good for change and implement your own twist to how you see the data.
I will just continue to focus on my academics and keep preparing for my first high school summer.
